Washing make up brushes! The dreaded chore!

Hello my lovely ladies,

Today I am going to share with you how I wash my make up brushes. Now its recommended that this is done every week... I'll put my hands up and say this is probably a once a month thing for me. I just don't have the time because of the amount of brushes I have.

Okay so what I use is the Soap and Glory Massage glove. Its not actually meant for washing brushes but it is an amazing dupe for the Sigma Spa cleaning glove, and for a fraction of the price. Its £8.50 from boots and if you wait til there's a 3 for 2 you can pick up some other S&G bits too. Bargain!!!
To actually wash the brush a use Johnson's baby shampoo and it works great its very gentle and therefore doesnt ruin the bristles of keeps my brushes nice and soft. Its cheaper then any brush cleaners I have ever found.

I just run each bush under warm water, place a dolop of baby shampoo to the gloves and swirl it around until the shampoo lathers up. As you can see the glove has little bumps on it, these get deep down into the brush and get all the make up out. I then run the brush under the warm water again while swirling it on the glove. This help to get all the dirt and make up out of the brush and also ensures so soap is left in the brush. I used to only use my hand to wash my brushes but after using this glove I see a huge difference in the performance of my brushes. I think this is because before when I was using my hand I was leaving soap in the brushes, with the gloves its a lot easier to get all of the soap out. I repeat this with all my millions of brushes...

...Some hours later my brushes are all clean. I lay out and towel and reshape the brush heads and leave them to dry hanging off the edge of the table so they dry with there natural shape. It usually takes around 12 hours for them to dry so I leave them over night ready to use in the morning.

Do you have any tips or tricks for washing your make up brushes? Until next time ladies! :)

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm

Hello beautiful,

Well today I have a review for you of the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm... WOW that is a mouthful!

Now I know that I am late to jump on the band wagon here, but better late than never...

Firstly I must say this is the most luxurious skincare product I have ever used. Its balm/oil texture and moringa smell makes it feel like I'm having a facial every evening. I use this product as a second cleanse in the evening after taking off my make up (skincare routine coming soon), so I really work this into my skin and clean deep down in my pores. I was pleasantly surprised at how my clean my skin felt afterwards, I half expected to feel oily and having a residue left on my face. NOPE! squeaky clean! Which is exactly what I'm looking for when I take my make up off. Although my skin feels clean afterwards it does not feel stripped at all which is amazing because my dry skin can't handle that otherwise I get flaky (EWW!)

This has literally been my skincare saviour this winter keeping me skin clean but nourished at the same time. I know it is expesive for something so short lived, I mean you put it on and then wash it straight off, but I really do think that this has helped my dry skin. Therefore the price is totally worth it!!!

Have you tried this? What is your favourite cleanser for the colder months?
