Washing make up brushes! The dreaded chore!
Hello my lovely ladies,
Today I am going to share with you how I wash my make up brushes. Now its recommended that this is done every week... I'll put my hands up and say this is probably a once a month thing for me. I just don't have the time because of the amount of brushes I have.
I just run each bush under warm water, place a dolop of baby shampoo to the gloves and swirl it around until the shampoo lathers up. As you can see the glove has little bumps on it, these get deep down into the brush and get all the make up out. I then run the brush under the warm water again while swirling it on the glove. This help to get all the dirt and make up out of the brush and also ensures so soap is left in the brush. I used to only use my hand to wash my brushes but after using this glove I see a huge difference in the performance of my brushes. I think this is because before when I was using my hand I was leaving soap in the brushes, with the gloves its a lot easier to get all of the soap out. I repeat this with all my millions of brushes...
...Some hours later my brushes are all clean. I lay out and towel and reshape the brush heads and leave them to dry hanging off the edge of the table so they dry with there natural shape. It usually takes around 12 hours for them to dry so I leave them over night ready to use in the morning.

Okay so what I use is the Soap and Glory Massage glove. Its not actually meant for washing brushes but it is an amazing dupe for the Sigma Spa cleaning glove, and for a fraction of the price. Its £8.50 from boots and if you wait til there's a 3 for 2 you can pick up some other S&G bits too. Bargain!!!
To actually wash the brush a use Johnson's baby shampoo and it works great its very gentle and therefore doesnt ruin the bristles of keeps my brushes nice and soft. Its cheaper then any brush cleaners I have ever found.

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm
Hello beautiful,
Well today I have a review for you of the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm... WOW that is a mouthful!
Now I know that I am late to jump on the band wagon here, but better late than never...
Firstly I must say this is the most luxurious skincare product I have ever used. Its balm/oil texture and moringa smell makes it feel like I'm having a facial every evening. I use this product as a second cleanse in the evening after taking off my make up (skincare routine coming soon), so I really work this into my skin and clean deep down in my pores. I was pleasantly surprised at how my clean my skin felt afterwards, I half expected to feel oily and having a residue left on my face. NOPE! squeaky clean! Which is exactly what I'm looking for when I take my make up off. Although my skin feels clean afterwards it does not feel stripped at all which is amazing because my dry skin can't handle that otherwise I get flaky (EWW!)
This has literally been my skincare saviour this winter keeping me skin clean but nourished at the same time. I know it is expesive for something so short lived, I mean you put it on and then wash it straight off, but I really do think that this has helped my dry skin. Therefore the price is totally worth it!!!
Have you tried this? What is your favourite cleanser for the colder months?

July Empties
So I actually managed to keep some of my empty containers, I always forget! So I will give a brief review of these products and if they worked for me. Lets get started
Soap & Glory Scrub 'em and leave 'em: This was a mini travel size I bought to try it out. For me isn't wasn't holy grail materiel it just did have enough scrubbing power for my liking, I would have preferred it to be more grainy.
The Body Shop vitamin E day cream: Now this is my holy grail moisturiser!!! I have dry skin so this hydrates my skin but its lightweight so it doesn't make me look like and oily mess. I am currently using Origins GinZing moisturiser but I still prefer this especially when it comes to price. This is a bloody bargain.
Herbal Essences beautiful ends intensity mask: This product smelt amazing and the smell lingered after use which I like. However to me this just seemed like a creamier condition and it worked well as a conditioner but it did not reduce my split ends however may have prevented more. So this wasn't the best but for the price it was an okay hair treatment for a budget pampering.
The Body Shop vitamin E body butter: I love body shop body butters they are just the best and this vitamin E version is a nice neutral clean smell that hydrates intensely. Can't fault this product!!!
Soap & Glory sugar crush body wash: The smell of this stuff is to die for! It is by far my favourite smell from S&G I love the scrub version of this too. This lathers to perfection and gives you a good cleaning and lasts for ages! I think it took my 6 months to use up this bad boy! Definitely check this out ladies!
And that is it for my empties ladies! Thank you for reading!

Charles Worthington Salon at Home Volume & Bounce Texturising Spray
Well this bad boy has one long name but I promise you it is the bee's knee's!!!
This product aims to increase volume and texture and promises a non greasy formula, and it fullfills this promise 100%. It instantly boosts volume and gives hair texture nice and bouncy. My hair has always been a hassle when trying to add volume, even with back-combing it would still seem limp and lifeless because of my lengthy locks. However that is in the past now I have my trusty spray, its easy to use just a few spritz and your done! You can use this on your roots and it doubles as a dry shampoo with a less powdery look, or you can spray it through the lengths of your hair to add extra umff! My favourite time to use this is right after I have blow dried my hair when it is extremely limp and soft. Y'know that stage where you just can't do anything with it, if you leave it down it just flies away and if you put it up it slips down. A few sprays of this and my hair is so much easier to handle, and because I have to wear my hair up a lot because of work this product is a lifesaver.
My only issue with with is that it can leave hair a little crunchy, although this can be brushed out and the end of the day so for me this isn't a problem. This is also means it can double up as a hair setting spray. Here it is in action:
It retails for £6.99 from boots which is a bloody bargain in my books! Have you tried this product? What's your favourite way to use it?

Graduating... Now what?!
Okay so I know I haven't blogged in a verrrrrryyyyyy long time, but thats because this past year has been my final year of my Psychology degree. So you can forgive me right? With uni work piling up and working part time I just did not have the time or energy to read a blog never mind write one. However I am fully committed now to blogging my ass off and getting back onto my blogging game. Soon I will be moving to Manchester which is bigger and more importantly has more make up stands (yes that was an important factor to me). I am so excited to get back into the swing of things and to start working full time and save some money for a house of my own some day.

Mac Lipstick Dupes: Modesty and Rebel + Swatches
Hello everyone,
I have an interesting post for you today that may just save you some pennies. I will be compare two very popular Mac lipsticks with two very similar Barry M lipsticks. Barry M are more commonly known for their great nail polishes or glitter pigments, however surprisingly their lipsticks will give you a run for your money.
First up I will be comparing the ever loved Modesty lipstick by Mac this is a great nude colour perfect for everyday in the office or even rocking it with a sexy smokey for a night on the town. It is a cremesheen formulation meaning that its super moisturising but still have great pigmentation. We then have the Barry M lipstick in shade #150, this again is the perfect nude for night and day wear. In comparison to Mac modesty the colour is almost identical as shown in the swatch at the end of this post, however the formulation of the Barry M lipstick in less creamy and therefore lasts a few hours longer. So its really your call ladies!!!
Next up we have the infamous Mac rebel lipstick. This lipstick is deemed to be the perfect autumnal shade as it has the perfect mix of berry and pink to bring out your vampy yet girl side. This is a satin finish from Mac and it almost acts like a lip stain without the drying effect they tend have on your lips especially in these cold months. I love satin finishes as they last so long, I literally don't have to reapply my lipstick all day. An amazing dupe for this Amazing shade is Barry M Shade #156. This shade looks exactly the same in the stick, however when swatched it comes up a bit lighter, however do not despair the lipstick can be layered up to almost perfect match to Mac Rebel and that's for a third of the price. The lasting power of the Barry M lipstick is great, lasts between 4-5 hours before reapplication is needed.
The Mac lipsticks retail for £15 each whereas the Barry M lipsticks retails for £4.49. You could save over £10!!! If like me though you just have to have the Mac lipstick to add to your collection, maybe try out the Barry M one first to make sure the shade is right for you. Because I know there is nothing worse than parting with your hard earned money for something you will never use. So there you have it ladies two beautiful dupes for Mac Modesty and Rebel, and in my opinion the Barry M lipsticks are great and a bloody bargain. If you keep a look out Boots often have 3 for 2 offers on, and you could save even more. These are definitely two of my favourite lipstick shades to wear, what are your favourite shades? Let me know in the comment below.
Thanks you reading guys!!!

Greed
What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?
My most inexpensive item would be my Natural Collection blush in rosey glow it cost around £1.50 from boots and its such a lovely everyday blush. I mainly wear this to work so I don't look over done and it blends beautifully.
My most expensive item of make up my Dior amber diamond highlighter, although this originally retailed for £32 I has now unfortunately been discontinued so I had to search high and low for mine and I ended up ordering mine from america so with delivery and customs charge I paid a whopping £52!!! However I just needed this in my life, its simple and elegant. Gives me that Kimmy K highlight effect. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.
Wrath
Beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?
I have a huge love/hate relationship with blush, I mean I love blush, I love the colours and I hope to build a huge collection. I just have such a fuss about applying it and where to apply it. I used to always smile and apply to my apples but soon realised that this just drags my cheeks down and make me look puffy. I have definitely got better at application but its sort of a love/hate thing going on and I think there always will be.
The hardest product to get is the Dior amber diamond as mentioned above it took me at least 3 months to track that baby down!
Gluttony
What are your most delicious beauty products?
Hmmm my most delicious beauty product, does that include moisturiser? If so the Soap & Glory sugar crush body butter is BOMB DOT COM!!! It smells amazing it has a sweet brown sugar smell with a hint of lemon and if I could I would eat the whole tub with a spoon. Its so delicious in smell and texture, its so thick and creamy like a luxury greek yoghurt. I love it!
Sloth
What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?
I'm so lazy when it comes to lipstick! I own so many, I have 11 mac lipsticks alone but I still reach for lip balm more often. I love lipsticks and deep vampy colours I'm just too lazy to prep, line, apply and then reapply then throughout the day.
Pride
What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?
I'd have to say mascara, if I'm not wearing any mascara I feel like I look half asleep. It opens and widens my eye making me look and feel much more approachable.
Lust
What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
This seems random for a beauty tag but hey-ho. I find nothing more attractive than a guy who can make me laugh and I mean really make me laugh til I'm falling on the floor. My husband has the most amazing sense of humour and he's always making me giggle, 4 years down the line and I'm still completely head of heels for him. I put it down to his ablity to make me laugh.
Envy
What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
I would love to receive something luxurious, I have been lusting after the Marc Jacobs daisy perfume but I just can't justify paying that much money on a perfume.
And there we are, I hope you guys enjoyed reading this! I TAG everyone, Please leave a link below if you have done this tag so I can read it too.

Hello everyone!!!
I am very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very
I am very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very
SORRY!!!
I know I have been away for a couple of month and I do apologize. I have been extremely busy with uni work as I am in my third year I am extremely stressed about my exams and what will happen when I eventually leave university. At the moment I have no idea what career I want to go into, anything I do want to do doesn't seem feasible at all. I feel almost as if I need to decide what I want to do for the rest of my life right now, which is such a scary thought to me! So to say the least I have been struggling a bit lately. Not to worry I have a new outlook on life and will be getting my act together!!!
However all that aside I want to start blogging regularly again, so If there is any post you would like to see soon let me know in the comments below!

First Impression: Nars Orgasm & Sin Blush + Swatches
Hello everyone!
So I finally got my hands on some Nars blushes! After about 3 hours of looking as swatches online I decided to go with the infamous Orgasm and Sin.
Orgasm: is a pretty coral/pink blush with gold shimmer running through it, it is said that this shade suits all skin tones. I definitely think this is true because it just looks flattering on all different skin tones, I love how it adds definition to my cheek. It just adds a very healthy glow to my face, my friend even thought I had a facial done. Haha! RESULT!
Sin: is lovely berry shade with gold shimmer running through it. I think this one is a little harder to wear and it will look better as the months get colder and lipstick becomes darker. I cannot wait to wear this with a simple eye and Rebel lipstick by Mac!
Overall I have extremely happy with both shades I bought, Orgasm being more wearable than Sin but still I am very pleased with the quality of the products. I am hoping to expand my Nars blush collection, any recommendation?

Favourites: August
Hello my lovlies!
I am sure you have heard this a million times already BUT I cannot believe its august already! where has this year gone?! I do not know. However I can't wait because I love autumn/winter time.. hot chocolates, scarves, boots and dark lippy baby ;-)
Lets jump right into my favourites for the past month:
1. Crown brushes: Here I have the C405 Angle Contour Blush brush and the C441 Pro Blending Crease brush. I have been using these brushes to death this month. The contour brush is perfect for blush, contour or highlight and I have been using it for all three. The blending brush is incredibly soft and buffs out any harsh eyeshadow lines perfectly. I would highly recommend these brushes as they are very affordable and brilliant quality.
2. Mac lipstick in patisserie: This is the perfect my lips but better lipstick, its a lustre finish so the colour pay off is only sheer. However since I have been working so much lately that's exactly what I have been wanting... and the smell!! DIVINE!!
3. Benefits hoola bronzer: Again I have been loving this, however instead of using this to contour I have been using it to give myself an all over glow. Perfect for summer time!
4. Benefits bella bamba: I am in love with Benefits boxed powders lately I own three but hoping to pick up some more. This one is a pretty pink shade with silver sheen running through it. It has been compared to Nars orgasm however I would say it is orgasms frosty sister, Its more blue toned. This has been perfect for adding a bit of life and definition to my face and because of the shimmer no need to highlight! Wooo! Also it smells great, honestly next time your near a counter smell it. LOL
5. The Body Shop vitamin E day cream: This has been a staple in my skincare since February, it was perfect during winter to keep my skin hydrated and it still keeps my skin nice and plump during summer without being too heavy. I just love all of the vitamin E range from The body Shop.
6. Ysl Touche eclat foundation: I have been loving this foundation ever since I used my points to buy it. I have done a more in depth review here.
7. Garnier Eye roll on in medium: I use this product daily! It contains caffeine so it instantly wakes up the eye area up and okay coverage but I usually layer something over the top. The main thing I need this for is to reduce puffiness around my eyes and it does a great job!
So there you have it guys my August favourites. Let me know what your favourites have been for the past month.

Ysl Touche Elcat Concealer/Highlighter pen : Shade 3
Okay so I caved and bought into the hype surrounding this pen! I took the plunge and forked out £25 of my hard earned cash on this bad boy! Although I have only used this a couple of times I can already say that it was worth the money. It the perfect amount of concealer that I am after, okay so the coverage isn't great but I feel that full coverage concealer isn't ideal for everyday wear it looks unnatural. This does one better in the sense it brightens the under eye area making you look more awake and bright eyed without masking or caking your under eye in a heavy concealer. Don't get me wrong there are them special occasions where I want to conceal everything and go all out with the Kimmy K concealer and contour duo, but for everyday this is perfect! The only problem I have with it is that its only 2.5ml which is not very much so I am not sure if this will last too long. BUMMER!
I have mine in shade 3 light peach and its a perfect match! However shade 1 is meant to be universal and work on all skin tones, I might have to put that to the test.
Have you ladies tried this? If so how long did it last you with everyday wear?
