Ysl Touche Elcat Concealer/Highlighter pen : Shade 3

Okay so I caved and bought into the hype surrounding this pen! I took the plunge and forked out £25 of my hard earned cash on this bad boy! Although I have only used this a couple of times I can already say that it was worth the money. It the perfect amount of concealer that I am after, okay so the coverage isn't great but I feel that full coverage concealer isn't ideal for everyday wear it looks unnatural. This does one better in the sense it brightens the under eye area making you look more awake and bright eyed without masking or caking your under eye in a heavy concealer. Don't get me wrong there are them special occasions where I want to conceal everything and go all out with the Kimmy K concealer and contour duo, but for everyday this is perfect! The only problem I have with it is that its only 2.5ml which is not very much so I am not sure if this will last too long. BUMMER!

I have mine in shade 3 light peach and its a perfect match! However shade 1 is meant to be universal and work on all skin tones, I might have to put that to the test.

Have you ladies tried this? If so how long did it last you with everyday wear?

The body shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Balm ..♥

Well, Well, Well ladies...

If you follow my blog you will have seen this in my wishlist post, which means I have waited a month for this baby to go on sale. After numerous trips to The Body Shop asking if it's in yet only to be sent away empty handed, the finally had it! I snapped it up straight away!

It retails for £12 but at the moment The body Shop has some amazing offers on such as 30% off in you buy three products! Bargain alert!!!!

Anyway this Product is a cleansing balm which means you apply it to a dry face, you do not have to remove your make up for hand it will remove all traces of make up perfectly. Its solid in the tin as you can see, but as soon as you massage it into your face it melts in to a lovely oil which melts away make up. The smell is pleasant but subtle and very calming lovely after a hard day at work. After working this into my skin for about a minute I dampen my muslin cloth (£2.50 from the same range, as shown in the picture) with hot water and wipe away my make up and the cleanser. I haven't been using a toner or even a moisturiser for that matter, I just dry off my face and head to bed.

In the morning MY OH MY!

My skin has never felt so smooth and plump! Even a lady at a beauty counter commented how hydrated my skin was! I have only been using this product for the past week but I think its amazing! definitely a holy grail item me thinks!

Have you tried this? what is your holy grail cleanser?

Mac Haul + Some little extras

So I have been going a little crazy with mac lipsticks lately I now own 9 and my collection is ever growing. I managed to pick up 6 lovely mac lipsticks: Impassioned, Vegas volt, Rebel, Patisserie, Angel and Girl About town. Yes I think I am becoming obsessed ladies! There are still more I want!

Next I picked up Mac prolong wear concealer in NC30 this is a repurchase and I must say I love this stuff for a full coverage I had no sleep concealer and its pretty easy to work with.

I then wanted to get a few things from Nyx...

Firstly I was on the hunt for a good contour shade as I found all the ones I had were too warm and bronze to create a natural shadow. I picked up NYX blush in taupe and although I have only used it twice now I have to say this is the best shade for contouring as it is a slighty grey brown colour. My only issue is that it is a tad bit chalky and hard to blend, I am no on the hunt for a high quality dupe for this colour.

I then picked up three lip liners from NYX which I needed as nudes do not work for me unless I pair them with a lipliner. I got Natural, Peekaboo neatural and Deep red.

Lastly I got a lovely present of my Husband which came in a lovely Chanel bag, Yes it was the Chanel D'ombre Eyeshadow! For a full review click here

If you would like to see any reviews of these products let me know in the comments :-)

Review: YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat

Well hello hello hello!!!

So a couple of week ago I took advantage of the my boots points, which had racked up to a £34 balance due to numerous trips to boots! Guilty! Haha...
Well I decided to take the plunge and spend them on this lovely YSL foundation. Firstly YSL is my favourite high-end brand I love their mascara and there ever so pretty lipsticks, however I am a huge fan for pretty packaging so this may be where 50% of my love comes from.

Anyway back to the foundation, this foundation is a light weight foundation which is aimed at adding luminosity in order to accentuate contours of the face, as opposed to masking the face with a full coverage foundation. I completely agree with YSL on this one, masking your face in full coverage with make your face look flat and bigger. The main selling point of this foundation is that it has liquid gold running through it, and I must say that's what pulled me in. I mean who would want to apply liquid gold to their face everyday?

The coverage of this foundation is light to medium coverage but it covers all redness but still lets natural skin showing through such as freckles, I fricking LOVE this as it just looks so natural but flawless at the same time. It gives a lovely dewy finish (that will be the liquid gold at work!). The only problem with this foundation is the lasting power isn't the best as it is a very running foundation. However I find it can last me the entire work day of 8 hours if I use a primer and setting spray, although I don't think I will need these steps as the weather gets colder.

I apply this with of course my Real Techniques buffing brush and it is slowly taking over my love for my Mac F&B foundation.

Pros:
Pretty luxurious packaging
Lovely natural yet flawless finish
Nice and hydrating
Perfect amount of coverage

Cons:
Not full coverage which I love but if your after full coverage this isn't for you
May not be forgiving on those with oilier skin
On the pricey side

Overall I am in LOVE with this foundation and would recommend it to any who had normal to dry skin. YSL are not shy on giving out samples so pop to your nearest counter and check it out. If you would like to see a picture of me wearing it check out my FOTD.

Liebster Award

Hi ladies! I have an exciting post today :)

The lovely Georgina from hiiiitsgeorgina nominated me for the Liebster award. If you don't know already the Liebster award is for bloggers who have less than 200 followers. Its all about building a community and discovering new blogs!
So now I have to answer the questions set by the lovely Georgina and then come up with 10 questions of my own and nominate 10 other blogs... got it? Like I said it's all about discovering new blogs! I must add that this is a freaking amazing idea and so cute! Liebster literally translates to sweetheart, beloved, or darling! How sweet right?! Anyways lets get to the Questions...

Georgina's questions:

1. What's your favourite season?
My favourite season is definitely autumn!!! Its great because you can wear bold lipsticks and sultry smokey eyes, I always like to pair my leather jacket with some studded ankle boots in autumn too! Also it means lots of coffee dates with my friends! woo! Caramel latte please?

2.Favourite high-end and drugstore/high street brand?
My favourite high-end brand would be YSL their packaging is just so pretty and I'm a sucker for pretty package.. and there products are pretty amazing!
My favourite drugstore brand is sleek! I love blush and they get it bang on par!
Also I thought I'd give MAC a mention as its a mix between the two.. I LOVE their lipsticks!

I've only ever been on holiday once or twice but I love both times! I would love to go to Turkey but anywhere with sun, sand and mocktails will do it for me!

5. What/Who inspired you to start your blog?
Ermmm I have loved reading blogs to past the time for about a year now and I know personally that blogs are so helpful and fun for the readers, I wanted to do that. Also it gives me justification about spending £24 on an eyeshadow. LOL

My favourite blog is beauty-fulfilled, its run by a beautiful girl called Kaushal. She blogs about make-up and fashion. Love her!

7. What was the first make-up item that you ever bought or was bought for you?
I think the first item of make-up I ever bought was a LOreal eyeliner which has been repurchased many times! Its simply amazing!

I love love love Barry M Mushroom! A lovely brown nude colour for darker skin tones!

9. What is your main haircare product?
Hmmmmm I don't really do much to my hair I wish I did but I just never have the time! (says the girl who can spend 2 hours doing make up) I would say my Caudalie divine oil to put on my ends after washing it. It keeps split ends at bay!

10. What's your favourite pastel colour?
I love all pastel colours! but if I had to choose one I'd say blue!!

Review: Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow in Ebloui

Hello my lovely ladies!

Today I have a review for you on the Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow in Ebloui!

This was a lovely gift from my husband and my very first piece of Chanel make-up which is exciting! As you can see the packaging is beautiful very elegant and chic, it would look lovely displayed on a dressing table. The colour of this is like no other I have seen, its a brown/deep red colour however its the perfect balance of the two to really make your eyes POP! The shimmer running through this is pretty heavy so if sparkle isn't your thing then this may not be for you. The formula of this product is great, its like a pressed pigment mixed with a cream eyeshadow. The feel when applying this is very spongy and light but the pigmentation is still very strong!

This is a perfect for a one stop smokey eye!

This product is very luxurious and definitely not for those on a budget at a price of £24. However it a great product and perfect for a gift or even a little treat for yourself if you have the money.

If you are wanting to play around with cream eyeshadows but are on a budget I suggest trying out the Maybelline colour tattoos out.

If you would like to see this in action comment below and I will post a picture of my one stop smokey eye!!

Favourites: July

Hello my fellow beauty obsessed friends,

Today's post is my July favourites, I'm sure you will have come across posts like this before but in case you haven't I will be telling you about all the products I have loved this month and why I have been loving them.

1. First up we have Garnier Body Ultimate Beauty Oil: This oil is great as it has a spray so you can just spritz it all over your body as soon as you jump out of the shower. Its great at locking in moisture and giving the skin a nice healthy glow which is what when the weather is as a gorgeous as it has been these last few weeks.

2. The body shop body mist in Mango: This is a lovely summer sent that easy and light to wear and I got this for half price early on in the month. BARGAIN!

3. Mac MSF natural in Medium dark: This is not for those with oily skin it will no nothing for keeping oiliness at bay. However I have dry skin mainly but  can get a little sweaty during the hotter months. I find this is theonly powder that does not cake up on me  no matter how much I apply I can get over how much I love this stuff. Its smooths our skin and locks foundation in so that you have a flawless yet natural complexion. HOLY GRAIL product for sure!!!

4. YSL False lash effect mascara: Again another HOLY GRAIL product this just does everything for my lashes that I could possibly want lengthens, thickens, the works!!! My eyelashes just love this stuff.

5. Benefit Hoola Bronzer: I have always had trouble finding the right shade to contour with. I used to use sleek contour kit but found that it was just making me look muddy as the colour was too warm. This hoola bronzer is perfect because its cool toned and looks like a perfect shadow shade for contouring.

6. Benefit Dallas blush: This is yet again another HOLY GRAIL product its the perfect colour and it is the only blush that I can use without contouring so its great for those days where I don't have much time. Its a pinkish brown colour that has a slight shimmer however the shimmer is hardly noticeable.

7. 17 Instant Glow in gold bronze: This is an amazing dupe for Bobbi Browns shimmer brick or Diors Amber diamond. It gives a perfect sunkissed glow definitely a firm favourite for summer.

8. Urban decay All Nighter spray:  This is a must have if your a sweaty betty like me! This has been amazing for summer party's  I will spray this all over my face before a BBQ or night out and my make-up will stay put and slip and slide everywhere. MUST HAVE ladies!!!

And that's it for my July favourites  I know a lot of them are holy grail product but that is because this is my first favourites posts so I had to include my firm favourites.

If you have any questions or want more detail regarding these product leave and comment below as I always try and reply to everyone.
